Statement Of Faith
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, which is comprised of believers all over the world. Locally, the church is a group of believers organized to worship God and preach the Gospel. Ultimately, the function of the Church is to carry out God’s will. (Acts 2:41-47, 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:23-23)
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom, which He will fully manifest when He establishes a new heaven and new earth. We believe in the resurrection of the body and the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked. (John 14:2-3; Romans 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 20:11-15, 22:12-17)
We believe that two ordinances have been given to the church: Baptism and The Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:38-42). Baptism by immersion (Acts 8:36-39) is the testimony of the believer showing forth his faith in Christ and identification and fellowship in the Body of Christ. Communion is the remembrance and proclamation of His death until Christ returns. It should always be preceded by solemn self examination. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32)
